Hot Diggity Dog

While crossing a road, I overheard someone say ‘Hot Diggity Dog’ and thought it would make a great title… so I wrote this chart! A medium shuffle with ensemble passages, saxophone soli, and a shout chorus with space for the drummer to strut their stuff. Inspired by Thad Jones, Dennis Mackrel, and the Clayton-Hamilton Orchestra. This chart makes a great opener for any concert!
